Sony has confirmed it'll be releasing a Collector's edition for Heavy Rain.
Again, like our previous story though, the marketing strategy is a little different in Europe than in North America, but this time it concerns DLC.
In Europe the DLC will come as part of the Collector's Edition box set, whereas those in the US are able to pre-order the content.
The Collector's Edition will come with a "specially embossed" box which looks like it's been battered by rain (or meant to anyway) and will include the first episode of the Heavy Rain Chronicles, the soundtrack and a dynamic XMB theme for your PS3. Nothing else. No figures, no toy and certainly no instructions for a rain dance.
Despite that, we're really excited by Heavy Rain in the office. Andy hasn't shut up about it since playing and Tim keeps banging on about how "gorgeous" it looks. If you want to know why then read our hands-on preview here, Andy's column on why he loves it so here, and our discussions about it in our last two podcasts. Yes, the last two, here and here, that's how much we're impressed by it.
What that means for DLC is beyond me, but the game itself is certainly keeping an eye on.
