Champions Online Winter Events

Crpytic Studios has announced winter events and bonuses for the superhero MMORPG.

First up in the Champions Online holiday line-up is the  Attack of the Misfit Toys where psychotic badguy Black Harlequin has made deadly changes to all the toys being given out in Millennium City. He's even has brought along his own giant, murderous mecha-teddy, Clarence, to have some fun.

As a festive bonus Cryptic Studios is also initiating a referral program allowing players to invite a friend to play free for ten days. Both players and recruits will win a rare in-game action figure and bonuses. For every recruit who buys the game, players will also earn an extra costume slot and 400 Cryptic Points.

New players can also enjoy the game demo and play the tutorial missions free and create two characters to play with up until level 15.

Finally, a new iPhone app which is free via the Iphone App Store. This allows olayers to check the game's latest news, view characters and communicate with freinds playing the game.
