Assassin's Creed II Overtakes MW2 In PS3 Chart

Assassin's Creed II has taken the number one spot in the PS3 charts, pushing CoD: Modern Warfare 2 to second place.

While MW2 has occupied the top spot for the last four weeks, Assassin's Creed II has been sitting pretty at number two, but has finally topped the charts. Does MW2 lack ACII's staying power, or have the numerous gliches finally begun to take their toll on the gaming population?

Assassin's Creed II, if you don't already know, follows Ezio, a nobleman from Renaissance Italy who sees his father and brothers killed.  This pushes him to avenge their deaths, and so begins his journey as an assassin.

We loved the game when we played it, and were very impressed with the improvements Ubisoft had made to combat the original's repetitive gameplay.  We're not really surprised it's toppled CoD: MW2, but it's all going to be about how long it stays there.
