EA: Tiger Woods Strategy “Remains Unchanged”

EA has told IncGamers that, despite the recent events surrounding Tiger Woods and the announcement that he is to leave golfing for the foreseeable future, the company is still backing the golfer.

“We respect that this is a very difficult, and private, situation for Tiger and his family. At this time, the strategy for our Tiger Woods PGA TOUR business remains unchanged.” An EA spokesman told us this morning.

Last week, Woods announced that he is taking a break from golf to concentrate on his family following the recent revaluations on his infidelity.

“After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.” said Woods on his website.

One has to wonder how much longer EA can continue supporting the sportsman, especially considering that he may not be back on the golfing scene in time for the next PGA Tour game.
