Rock Band developer Harmonix is the latest developer to announce job cuts as part of its restructuring.
Harmonix has confirmed that 39 employees have been let go today, stating this was part of the company's restructuring to "better align our staffing to best suit our product development plans and schedules moving forward."
According to Harmonix, the positions were "primarily in QA" although other positions not specified have been made redundant.
Harmonix added that they will "shift to a combination of temporary/parttime help, outsourcing and support from external partners (which is inline with how other game developers manage their QA departments)."
Harmonix was also keen to stress that these redundancies are not due to sales performance of the Rock Band titles.
