Quantum Theory Now Multiplatform

Tecmo Koei has announced its sci-fi shooter Quantum Theory will be released on the Xbox 360 as well as the PS3.

The game, announced under the title of Quantum earlier this year, was thought to be a PS3 exclusive but Tecmo Koei has confirmed it will be released simultaneously in Europe for both platforms in spring next year.

Quantum Theory is set in a war-ravaged future in which the survivors have formed a new community called the Cocoon. Their existence, however, is threatened by a malignant black substance known as Erosion and its “Living Tower.”

The game tells the story of Syd and his mysterious AI companion Felina as they climb the tower, looking for answers. The bad news for the protagonists is that the structure of the tower changes in real time, surprising the player with new obstacles and enemies. Quantum Theory also promises to include “colossal enemies,” four online modes and a “distinctive Art Nouveau”-inspired setting.
