Sony has announced the US release date for White Knight Chronicles.
The US will be getting an updated version - titled White Knight Chronicles International Edition - on 2 February 2010, going by the US PlayStation Blog.
The Intenational Edition includes a load of new content. Expect "50 disc-based online quests," which are quests that can be completed solo or co-operatively with up to three other players (with Sony hinting that there will likely be more online at launch); full voice chat; the ability to build an online village called a Georama "where you can invite friends to complete
quests online and purchase unique items and gear"; and Live Talk, letting your characters talk to each other during the game.
That last one sounds a bit Tales of Vesperia to us, but all told, White Knight Chronicles looks absolutely gorgeous and it seems to be shaping up well. We imagine we'll have an EU date before too long, and we doubt it'll be too far after the US - after all, we don't think Sony and Level-5 want it to directly compete with Final Fantasy XIII.
