Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Dated For US

Konami has officially announced that the upcoming PSP title, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, will go on sale in North America on 25 May next year.

The UK sale date of 28 May was announced on Thursday, which is a day later than the rest of mainland Europe. Players in Japan will get the game on 18 March.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, which takes place in 1974, picks up where the PS2 game left off, putting players in charge of Naked Snake.

"Featuring an original story created by legendary game designer, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a title that has serious sales potential," said David Daniels, director of marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "Kojima Productions has pushed the limits of the PSP system and we cannot wait to unveil their latest addition to the Metal Gear franchise to gamers this coming May."
