The forthcoming 360/PS3 port of Wii hit No More Heroes will not suport motion controls.
In a short interview, Edge Online asked Marvelous Entertainment head Yasuhiro Wada about the forthcoming HD port, including how the company was planning on reworking the game's motion controls - which were, obviously, a huge focus of the original title - and whether or not the game might support, say, Natal.
"Well, since the concept of the remake is to bring the game to a wider audience, we aren't currently considering to use uncommon new technology," responded Wada. "Basically everything will be controlled using the analogue controller. We
are reworking the control scheme to improve the sense of being in the game."
So there you have it. It sounds highly unlikely that the 360/PS3 port of No More Heroes will have any support for motion controls, which is a bit of a shame, but certainly understandable.
The port itself is out in Japan on 25 February 2010, with no Western release yet announced. The Wii sequel - No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle - is expected in January in North America, and February in Europe.
