After Burner Climax Jetting Towards Consoles?

A new After Burner title may be getting a release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE.

GamerBytes spotted "After Burner Climax" turning up on a variety of rating board websites as "multiplatform," but noted that, according to the Korean Ratings Board, it was Sony that applied for the rating.

It's not entirely impossible that the game will come to both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but at this stage it seems far likelier that the game will appear solely on PlayStation 3.

After Burner Climax has been in arcades since 2006, adding in the F/A-18E Super Hornet and the F-15E Strike Eagle as playable craft. As with the rest of the series, Climax appears to be an on-rails shooter, with the player flying an aircraft at ludicrous speeds and shooting down lots and lots of enemies.
