DICE has revealed that the PC beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be coming "very early next year."
The news comes from the Battlefield Blog, with producer Gordon Van Dyke reassuring the community that the PC beta is still happening, despite earlier posts removing the PC beta from the details.
"With the huge success of the PS3 Beta we decided to drastically increase the PC Beta's capacity to insure [sic] as many people as possible could participate," writes Van Dyke. "Unfortunately this meant we had to delay the Beta to very early next year giving us more planning time to make it happen and implement more optimizations."
January, then?
The PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will have "a little bit more," Van Dyke told IncGamers earlier this month. This includes dedicated servers, 32-player support (over 24-players on the consoles), DirectX 11 support, and a whole lot more.
All versions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are dated for 5 March 2010 in Europe, while Americans will get the game a few days sooner on 2 March 2010.
