Runes Of Magic Statistics Revealed

Frogster, the publisher of the free to play MMO 'Runes of Magic', has revealed several statistics from the game since Chapter II – The Elven Prophecy launched in August.

In three months, players have completed 15 million quests and downed 250,000 bosses in the second chapter alone. Players have been busy crafting in-game items too – over 16 million things have been made through cooking, blacksmithing, tailoring and other professions.

Runes of MagicThese figures go to show how successful Runes of Magic has been. Players were sceptical of the game when it launched in March, being a free version of other high profile subscription based titles such as World of Warcraft, but regular content updates and high quality gameplay have persuaded players to stay.

Not only has the game retained the majority of its playerbase over time, but the population has increased enough for Frogster to open another server. The new German realm ‘Draiochta’ kicks off today, following the successful launch of the localised Asian version. The Korean beta is also “exceeding Frogster's expectations”.
