Nintendo has revealed that the BBC iPlayer is set to become a channel on the Nintendo Wii.
The Wii has been able to access iPlayer for since 8 April through the Internet Channel (which was recently made free) but the iPlayer is set to become a channel in its own right come 18 November.
This new version of iPlayer has apparently been designed to "deliver a better and higher quality experience, with a new full screen user interface." Sounds good to us.
iPlayer is the BBC's "catch-up" service, allowing UK denizens to play recently-aired BBC TV and radio shows. UK Wii users should be able to pop onto the Wii Shop Channel at just past midnight on 18 November to download it from there.
