Charles Cecil Confirms Work On Minesweeper Title

Charles Cecil has confirmed to IncGamers that he is working on a game based on Minesweeper.

IncGamers followed up on rumours from last week that the gaming veteran, well-known for the superb Broken Sword series, was working on a game based on Minesweeper - and we were told that the game was indeed in development.

"I can confirm that I am at the prototype stage of a game based loosely on Minesweeper," said Revolution's Charles Cecil, who added "Since we are at an early stage, I think that it is a bit premature to comment too much, since everything may still change."

This is the presumably the new adventure game that Cecil has been working on with Dave Gibbons of Watchmen fame. The pair previously worked together on the "remastered" version of Beneath a Steel Sky for iPhone, as well as the update of Broken Sword for Nintendo DS and Wii.

Cecil recently worked on the Nintendo DS movie tie-in game A Christmas Carol. Expect our full interview with the gentleman in question soon.
