LOTRO: Developer's Skirmish Overview


Turbine has released information on the upcoming Skirmish feature in Lord of the Rings Online's expansion, Siege of Mirkwood.

The new feature focusses on the accessibility of Skirmishes, how players join up, what they can sign up for and the rewards. An instant travel ability is built in, so that anyone who joins will be teleported to the skirmish as soon as they are ready.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of MirkwoodSkirmishes also have stat-tracking built in, allowing players to see how well they performed during the last encounter, and past ones.

LOTRO subscribers who purchase the Siege of Mirkwood will have full access to this new feature, those who do not will have limited acces.
