Well, IncGamers has brought you news that ASDA will be selling Modern Warfare 2 for £32 GBP, and now we've had it confirmed that Sainsbury's will be selling the same title for £26 GBP.
Speaking to Sainsbury's press team, IncGamers can confirm that Modern Warfare 2 will be sold for £26 GBP, undercutting ASDA by £8 GBP.
Five stores will open especially for the event (Dulwich, Harringay, Forestside, London Colney and Greenwich), and we're told all stores will sell the game at the low price until further notice. They have not told IncGamers if this is a promotion for the release or if the game will stay at that price.
Sainsbury's games buyer, Chris Cahill, said that the store is a "destination for customers wanting great value".
Cahill reckons this will be the biggest game this year and that the stores nationwide will expect to sell around 120,000 units in the first week of release.
The offer will be available in all 440 stores nationwide, and if you can't get to the midnight launch, don't worry, you'll be able to get it in the morning, assuming they've not all sold out.
We've contacted Tesco and Morrisons to see if they're doing anything similar and will keep you posted.
Great news though. Either way you don't need to pay £55 GBP for your copy, and can spend the rest on sending a flaming poo bag to whoever thought £55 GBP was a good price.
