Namco Bandai has announced that a patch to fix Tekken 6's lag issues is in the works.
Tekken 6 has, like many fightng games, suffered from some online lag issues since launch. This is something that Namco Bandai is clearly hoping to fix, with a statement reading "To improve the online game experience for players of Tekken 6 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation3, Namco Bandai Games is developing a downloadable update which will be available as soon as it has passed rigorous testing procedures."
Namco Bandai notes that this is not going to be the same patch as the "online co-op Scenario Campaign update," though, which is expected before long.
Sadly, there's no estimated date for the lag patch. It'll likely have to be sooner rather than later if the Namco Bandai is planning on keeping a solid online playerbase, though.
Check back next week for our review on Tekken 6. For now, have a read of our preview to see what's new.

Not meaning to brag, but I consider myself a tough competitor to beat on the Tekken games, but when you attempt to execute a Roundhouse kick, expecting to finish your opponent, and then 3 seconds later you find yourself lying on the ground with your opponent taunting you because of their lag-inspired victory... You start to feel like Tekken Online is never going to be worth the hassle of playing.
That being said, I will no doubt be buying Tekken 6 soon, where I will be looking forward to seeing how the lag fares on that, hopefully I will be able to dish out some sweet punishment online. ^_^
