Phantom EFX has announced that it has updated Darkest of Days with a mission editor and new gameplay modes.
PC players can now create their own levels for the time-bending first-person shooter, which has players travel back to past battlefields to join the fray with modern and futuristic weapons, as Phantom EFX's Habitat level editing software has been released to the public.
More players, we suspect, will be interested in the Instant Action patch which allows game owners to travel to any level with a weapon set of their choice. If you want to take your favourite weapons to your favourite levels, go for it. Alternatively, you could take weapons from the earliest battles to something more recent, like World War 2, you can give that a go too.
Sounds good to us. This appears to be PC-only for now, sadly, although if Xbox 360 users are interested in the game itself then they can always grab the demo from Xbox LIVE.
PC owners, grab the patches from the download section of the official site.
