Saw On PC To Be Steam Exclusive

The upcoming PC version of Saw will be exclusively released through Valve's Steam service.

A post now showing on the Steam website indicates that the PC port of the game will be coming exclusively to Valve's digital download service later this month.

It will be the only place North American PC gamers will be able to get their hands on the port - the game won't be available for purchase in retail stores, meaning there'll be no boxed copies anywhere.

But this isn't the first time Konami has made a PC port available via digital download platforms. Last year the PC version of Silent Hill: Homecoming was also a Steam exclusive.

SAW

It's interesting, especially after Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford voiced his concerns about Valve's download service, marring it as a money grabbing and exploitative business.

PC gamers? What do you think as you're the ones that count.

For more on Pitchford and his thoughts on Steam, you may want to check out our podcasts where we discuss this in detail.
