More Rumours About The Ripper

Well, we’ll be the first to admit that we sometimes make mistakes here at IncGamers and it seems I was wrong about EA’s rumoured Jack the Ripper game.

Yesterday I wrote that EA is “unlikely to let you play from the perspective of a man who routinely killed prostitutes.” Well, that may not be strictly true if rumours about the game posted on Destructoid are to be believed.

According to Destructoid’s sources, EA may be dabbling in a bit of revisionist history with The Ripper, portraying Saucy Jack not as a vicious psychopath but rather as a kind of supernatural Equalizer, protecting the citizens of London from messed-up demons of the type seen in Dante’s Inferno and Dead Space.

The game will also apparently feature Jack’s well-documented ability to slow down time and some badass weaponry.
