Activision Files Call Of Duty Film Trademark

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Activision has filed a trademark for film products related to its Call of Duty franchise.

The trademark was filed last month and, according to Trademork (via Destructoid) it relates to “pre-recorded movies featuring comedy, drama, action, adventure, music, theatrical performances and/or animation”.

It wouldn’t surprise us to see a COD film, with Activision-Blizzard having already revealed that a World of Warcraft film is in the works.

If it does go ahead we expect the COD film to be set in the Modern Warfare universe – with the global terrorism angle, the threat of nuclear weapons and characters like Soap and Cpt. Price we think it could make a potentially decent action film.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below.
