Pro Evolution Soccer developer Seabass has revealed it has considered making the game a download-only title.
In an interview with UK mag GamesTM (via MCV), Pro Evo head honcho Shingo Takatsuka revealed that he has considered releasing future versions of the game as digital downloads.
“Yes, I do think about it,” he said when asked if Pro Evo could ever be a download-only title funded by microtransactions.
“But I also think about the fact that 100 per cent of the people aren’t connected to the internet. When that day comes, it’s something we should definitely consider or do.
“However, even if it’s 80 per cent, there’s still 20 per cent who can’t play because they aren’t connected. I have to take those people seriously as well.”
Takatsuka also recently confirmed that he is working “aggressively” to incorporate motion controls into the series.
