Aion Patch Bans Low Level Whispers

The latest patch applied to Aion has stopped characters below the level of five from sending in-game whispers.

Patch 1.5.0.8 fixes a small number of bugs, mostly with the French and German clients, but according to a tweet by the game's associate producer, Lani Blazier, all characters below level five will now be prohibited from sending whispers. This is a temporary fix to the growing problem of gold sellers harassing players.

Characters under the level of five are already banned from chatting in the general channel.

To any genuine player, this isn't the end of the world. Level five is easily obtainable within a couple of hours. Not including character design of course, you'll need another hour for that.
