Sony has announced a PSP firmware update on the day of the PSPgo's international release, today.
The update will allow the Bluetooth "Tethering" functionality as well as dealing with other media, such as music and film, more efficiently.
Firmware 6.10 is already available at the Japanese support site and you'll be able to access it though the PSP's system update menu.
Interestingly, this update which allows Bluetooth functionality means that you'll be able to connect your mobile phone, a Bluetooth headset or any other Bluetooth device (within reason people) to your PSPgo, the only Sony handheld device with this capability.
Don't worry though, it's not all about the PSPgo, the update will also handle media better, with the addition of something called SensMe, an application of some sort which allows you to play your music from a categorised list of moods.
And you'll also have MediaGo software at your disposal too, a PC-based application that allows you to manage all the content on your PSP through your PC. Before you ask, I'm not sure it'll work on Macs. In fact, I'm pretty sure it won't.
It's been recommended that anyone who has, or will have a PSPgo should upgrade their firmware immediately. You can find out more from the PlayStation Blog.
