PlanetSide players received a survey from Sony last week asking for feedback on its plans to expand the PlanetSide universe.
The email from Sony assured players that the existing game wasn't going anywhere, but they would like to know the opinions of their customers on a new game, which will also be a MMOFPS:
“The information you provide will play a critical role into helping guide the development and direction of the next hit Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter.”
Fansite planetside-universe later spotted that the domain www.planetside2.com has recently been acquired by Sony, and the CEO made the following statement:
“Planetside fans will be happy We have big things planned in the next 12 months. We're working on something new that's really cool.”
