Cut Chemist and J Period For DJ Hero

Activision has confirmed the legendary turntablists Cut Chemist and J Period will be lending their skills to the upcoming DJ Hero.

Cut Chemist, famous for his work with Jurassic 5 and his collaborations with DJ Shadow (Brain Feeeze, The Hard Sell) will contribute an exclusive mix to the game “featuring unreleased music from one of the biggest bands in the world.”
J Period, fresh from his work with Q-Tip and K’NAAN, brings two mixes to the game:

1. Q-Tip “Good Thang” vs. Billy Squier “Big Beat”
2. Gang Starr “Just to Get a Rep” vs. Mobb Deep “Shook Ones, Part 2”
   

J Period previously scored and produced the entire soundtrack to Tony Hawk’s Motion for the DS.

DJ Hero is due for release on PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 on 27 October.
