Microsoft Confirms 250GB Modern Warfare Xbox

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Microsoft has confirmed that a themed Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 is due for release.

The bundle, due out on 10 November, will pack a 250GB hard drive - the largest hard drive yet for the 360 - in addition to two wireless controllers, a copy of Modern Warfare 2, and a headset.

It's been priced at $399.99 USD, which equates to around £250 GBP, although no European price has yet been announced.

"It is thrilling to bring the exclusive Modern Warfare 2-inspired Xbox 360 console to Call of Duty fans," said Albert Penello, the senior director of global marketing for Xbox 360. "Being able to work so closely with the talented team at Infinity Ward on the design has enabled us to develop a console that will set bragging rights around the world. These fans deserve the biggest Xbox 360 console ever, and we're delivering with more storage space than ever before and freedom to enjoy their favourite games and downloaded Game Add-ons, including the first two Modern Warfare 2 maps that will be available first on Xbox LIVE."

The fans deserve it? If you say so. Either way, the console is due out on 10 November alongside Modern Warfare 2 itself. The branded 360 isn't the only peripheral in store for fans, though, with MadCatz working on accessories, and the Prestige Edition packing night vision goggles..

Check out our Modern Warfare 2 preview, and be sure to read up on the customisable killstreaks and dual-wielded weapons. You wouldn't want to be caught short when the game launches, would you?
