A demo for time-jumping first-person shooter Darkest of Days has hit Xbox LIVE.
You should be able to get the 429 MB demo, which is apparently the same slice of game as the PC demo, now - assuming you're a Gold member, anyway, as Silver members will have to wait until 22 September.
Darkest of Days sees you pulled from certain death by a team of time travellers, who then task you with going into different periods of time and preventing an evil group of time travellers from changing history. What this means, effectively, is romping through events like World War I and the American Civil War with modern weapons, which is a brilliant idea, although we're not sure how well the game itself holds up.
The game has seemingly done fairly well on PC, as it took the top spot on Steam the day after launch, and it's still floating in the top ten even now. Americans can get their hands on the title in retail now, while it looks like everyone else can pick it up on Steam.
