Champions Online and pre-orders for the Aion Collector's Edition have taken the top spots in the PC Steam and Direct2Drive sales charts.
The Aion Collector's Edition takes the lead on Steam, with Champions Online trailing it in second, while the situation is the reverse on Direct2Drive with Champions taking the top spot and Aion Collector's Edition following. It's worth noting that pre-orders for the standard edition of Aion come in at fifth on the Direct2Drive charts, meaning that - if it was on one SKU rather than split across both - the title may have taken the top on both charts. You can see for yourself why it's so anticipated with our Aion diaries, in which our MMO editor Bill Vaughan played the game and reported back weekly. We've also covered Champions Online a lot, of course.
Newcomer Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is doing well, too, with the third spot on Steam and the fourth spot on Direct2Drive, where it's just beaten out by Fallen Earth pre-orders.
Happily, Section 8 clocks in at ninth and sixth on Steam and Direct2Drive respectively, which is good because it's really rather neat.
Finally, don't forget that this week is going to see the addition of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series to Steam. Expect those titles to make an appearance on next week's charts.
