Sony Announces EU MAG Beta

MAGSony has revealed the details for the European beta test of PS3 shooter MAG.

The US beta has been around for a while now and finally it seems that Zipper Interactive is ready to offer us the chance to try the 256 player online game (hoorah!) It's not all good news though as, thanks to current German law, gamers from Germany will not be able to participate in the beta.

There are 16,000 beta codes up for grabs and they'll be available on a first come, first served basis. Sony will email MAG invites out in batches so don't feel too disheartened if you don't receive a beta invite straight away.

Running times for the beta are somewhat questionable though with the servers being open six hours a day, Monday to Friday. The servers are currently set to run between 5pm to 8pm and 12am to 3am GMT, although Sony has said the hours may vary when it goes live.

For full details head over to the PlayStation Blog, or if you want to win a chance of being a beta tester head straight to the sign up page here (PSN account required). Hopefully you will all join in the fight for strategic objectives in the next few weeks - look for JChalmers on the battlefield when I join another 255 players online.
