More L4D DLC Incoming

Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) boycotters are reporting that there will now be more fixes and DLC for L4D after a visit to Valve's HQ.

Left 4 Dead 2After Left 4 Dead 2's announcement at E3, 40.000 fans joined a boycott group against the sequel to convince claiming the new features didn't warrant a new game.  They cried out for Valve to continue to support the original and drop the sequel.

In an effort to calm things down, Valve has responded by allowing the the groups founding members the chance to play the sequel, as well as reassuring them that L4D won't be forgotten and will continue to be supported.

The boycott founders received quite a bit of flak for succumbing to Valve's lures, but now it seems are content with Valve's promise.

A lot of fixes will be added to the original game, including things the developers have sorted for L4D2. Boycott organizer Walking_Target also said "there is more DLC for Left 4 Dead coming after Crash Course," on the group's Steam blog.

Although the boycott founders did not have a chance to try out the latest version of LFD1 at Valve, the reports are that the new DLC will "either be a new Special Infected, a new Campaign or new Weapon(s). It's definitely one of the three, perhaps more."

We've contacted Valve for confirmation, and you can check out our preview of Left 4 Dead 2 along with our interview with Doug Lombardi.
