FIFA 10 Live Season Expands

FIFA 2010EA Sports has confirmed the Live Season service has been turned into a new game mode for FIFA 10.

Like last year gamers will be able to subscribe to a selection of leagues to get the weekly stats but this time around you get more than just the updated player form.

Everything from transfers, injuries, suspensions, fixtures, results and league standings will be incorporated in the game mode allowing you to take control of your favourite team and try to steer them away from the position they find themselves in real life.

"Every Wednesday is Live Season day where dynamic real-world data and analytics will be updated in FIFA 10 to match the weekly rhythm of real-world football and subscribers will have the chance to rewrite their clubs' history," said David Rutter, producer of FIFA 10.

The leagues featured this year include:

  • Barclay's Premier League
  • La Liga BBVA
  • Ligue 1
  • Bundesliga
  • Serie A
  • Mexican Primera Division

Each league will be available for £3.99 GBP on the PSN and 400 MSP on Xbox LIVE or you will be able to purchase a pack with all the leagues for £7.99 or 800 MSP.

FIFA 10 releases on 2 October while the demo for the game will be available tomorrow on both Xbox LIVE and PSN, details on what the demo contains can be found here. To find out all the latest details for FIFA's next outing check out our previews of the Nintendo Wii and PS3 versions.
