It looks like Final Fantasy XIII will launch 17 December in Japan.
The date was meant to be announced tomorrow but a slip up with an online ad campaign has resulted in the release date being revealed a day early.
An ad campaign started on the Japanese YouTube today, and after people changed the URL from "before" to "after" they were given a different advert - which can be found here - and which clearly states 17 December. (Thanks FF-XIII.net.) As mentioned above, we're expecting to see Square-Enix confirm the date tomorow.
The western release of Final Fantasy XIII is scheduled for Spring 2010 with the Xbox 360 version confirmed to ship on multiple discs.
UPDATE: Square-Enix has now confirmed the release date, according to Kotaku.
