Bungie's Lars Bakkan, senior designer on the Halo franchise, has said there "are no current plans" for ODST DLC.
The announcement comes at this year's PAX in front of a rowdy group of Halo fans.
This comes as a surprise, speaking to IncGamers at the end of July, Lars Bakken had said that DLC was an option.
"We'll always look at [DLC], I think it's certainly worth investigating, but there's nothing to talk about just yet."
Although Bakken did say that things "could change", Brian Jarrard, community lead, said that the team is already working on their next title, which we know to be Reach.
The success of ODST's Firefight mode may be the determiner for DLC, but with Reach ready for next year, it's unlikely we'll see any DLC for ODST.
But Bungie were unwilling to talk about Reach, only offering Halo universe fans the advice to hold on to their ODST discs handy if "you want to be part of Reach from the very beginning."
Halo 3: ODST is out 22 September and you can check out our hands on preview as well as our video and written interview with Lars Bakken right here.
