LostWinds Sequel Media Showcases Winter Wonderland

Frontier has released screenshots and concept art for LostWinds sequel, LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias.

We reported on the reveal earlier this week, but we now know that the title, under development at David Braben's Frontier Development studio, will see lead character Toku exploring new areas of the land of Mistralis in order to save his mother, lift a curse, and defeat the evil Balasar.

As with the critically acclaimed first game you'll bbe taking the role of the Wind Spirit Enril in order to help out Toku during his quest, with plenty of new abilities including the ability to transform the realm between Summer and Winter in order to affect enemies or freeze/thaw water to open new paths. A frozen pond may hide secrets underwater, after all, but you're also able to create snowballs, or summon cyclones to move Toku or your enemies, or to drill through rock.

You can check out fifteen all-new screenshots and pieces of concept art below, which show off the changes you'll see in particular areas between the two seasons.
