Dead Space Extraction Goes Gold

Dead Space: ExtractionElectronic Arts has announced that Dead Space Extraction has gone gold.

This new title moves the rather spiffing third-person action-adventure horror title into a new perspective, changing it into a first-person rail shooter for the Wii.

The full version, which acts as a prequel to the events of Dead Space and apparently ends shortly before original protagonist Isaac turns up, is due out in the US on 29 September and 2 October over here in Europe.

Expect two-player co-op, a lot of Wiimote-based blasting, a new female character who's going to be important to the continuing story, and a lot of enemies that just won't die.

You can check out our impressions of it here.
