Sad news today as we have learned of the death of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, a contributor to Activision’s upcoming DJ Hero.
Goldstein was a respected DJ and former member of the rock-hip hop hybrid act, Crazy Town. More recently, Goldstein contributed his expertise (and music) to Activision’s DJ Hero and the publisher paid tribute to the talented DJ in a statement yesterday.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of DJ AM, who was a tremendous talent, a trusted partner and friend to DJ Hero,” Activision’s Tim Riley told Joystiq.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. AM was instrumental in the making of DJ Hero and we hope that his work on the game will be a fitting tribute to his creative spirit and musical talent.”
