Turbine Sues Atari Over DDO

Games developer Turbine has claimed that Atari breached their licensing agreement in relation to the MMO, Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Atari took Turbine on to develop Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach, however, Turbine claims Atari didn't provide sufficient resources to promote and distribute the game. As a result, Turbine invested millions of dollars of its own capital to operate and maintain the service.

Turbine claims that Atari knowingly let the situation continue with a view to terminating the contract with Turbine for breach of agreements at a later date.

Atari says the money invested by Turbine was not called for by their agreement.

Last month Turbine announced that the MMO would change to a free to play format with micro transactions from the subscription model the game had at the time.
