Guitar Hero 5 DLC Will Not Work For World Tour

Guitar Hero 5Activision has confirmed DLC for Guitar Hero 5 will not be compatible with Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Earlier this month we revealed how you will be able to import songs from World Tour to Guitar Hero 5 however it's not viable to import the other way.

"Guitar Hero 5 downlodable content will be compatible with future Guitar Hero and Band Hero games," a spokesperson told Destructoid.

"However the advancements and innovations made to the franchise do not allow for downloadable content to be backwards compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour."

The Rockfest features were revealed a couple of weeks ago detailing the six different game modes which up to four players will be able to play.

Guitar Hero 5 will release on 11 September for Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2.
