Avatar Trailer

James Cameron's Avatar: The GameUbisoft has released a trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar.

In the video we’re introduced to the spectacular scenery of Pandora, the alien world in which the game is set. Unfortunately humans are unable to breathe in Pandora’s atmosphere and so engineer ‘Avatars’, hybrid organisms based on humans and the Na’vi, the ten foot tall blue humanoids who inhabit the planet.

As we see in the video, conflict arises between the natives and the settlers, with human machines and troops clashing with the Na’vi and the local fauna.

According to Ubi, the game will also feature some shiny new 3D effects, although you’ll need an HDMI connection and a 1080p TV to see them in action. Hear that? That’s the sound of the one early adopter whose machine still works cursing Ubisoft.

The game is due for release on DS, PC, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 in December.
