LittleBigPlanet PSP Will Have No New Features

Little Big PlanetNew details about the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet have been revealed.

Senior producer at Sony Cambridge, Mark Green has confirmed there will be no new features in the PSP version.

"No...because what we've tried to do is make sure that we've got a very accurate physics engine the same way they had on the PS3 version. What we have done is tailor it for PSP. People will be playing it on the go, so we've added more puzzles in there, it's not just platforming. There's a different flavour in the levels that we've put in. But in terms of what you can do it's pretty much identical."

He also hopes the amount of DLC for the PSP version will rival that of the PS3 which recently passed the 1,00,000 user generated level mark.

"The hidden benefit we have is that the detail of the artwork is much reduced, so it's not such a memory issue. So yes, we reckon we can do a similar amount of material for the PSP."

The news came from an interview with CVG in which he talks about the future for Sony Cambridge and how Media Molucule aided the development of the game.

LittleBigPlanet is scheduled for a November release on PSP but Green said "it's going to be a push" to get it ready for then. Check out review of the PS3 version here.
