360 Version Of FFXIII To Ship On Multiple Discs

Final Fantasy XIII will release on multiple DVDs with Square Enix's aim being three.

Producer of Final Fantasy XIII, Yoshinori Kitase confirmed the news today but assured gamers both the 360 and PS3 versions would look almost identical but did announce there would be "subtle differences".

"Since the hardware is different, there might be some subtle differences if you compare screenshots side by side, but the team's being very careful about the compression of the data and the visuals, so that it's exactly the same on both."

"This is not the final count as we're still working on it, but we're aiming for about three discs for the Xbox 360 version," the developer told VG247 at Gamescom.

Kitase also confirmed the PS3 and 360 versions would launch simultaneously in Spring 2010.
