Square Enix has confirmed Final Fantasy XIII will release in Spring 2010.
Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Square Enix's next title in the Final Fantasy series, has also stated the game will be release on both PS3 and Xbox 360 simultaneously in Europe and America.
"We don't have the actual month down yet, but in Japan it's scheduled for a winter release, and in Europe and North American territories it's spring 2010," he told VG247 at Gamescom.
He also added ""For Europe and North American, the PS3 and 360 versions are going to be released simultaneously."
The time gap between American and European release will also be "considerably shorter" due to speeding up the time to localise the title.
A demo for the game in the West is still being considered but if one does arise it is hinted the demo may be downloadable rather than on a Blu-Ray disc.
