EA and DICE have revealed a few details about Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s multiplayer game.
The multiplayer game will feature 15 authentically-modelled vehicles, including the brand new UH-60 transport helicopter which can carry an entire four-player squad into battle while two other team members rain down hell from above with the two mounted rail guns.
Players will also be able to choose from 46 weapons that can be customised into over 200 unique fire-arms. With each squad member able to choose their battle enhancements and weapon upgrades, there are over 15,000 kit variations in the game as well as a wide range of gadgets, accessories and character specialisations.
All of this is wrapped up in DICE’s excellent Frostbite engine (last seen in Battlefield 1943) which is set to deliver Destruction 2.0 – basically an enhanced scenery and building destruction mechanic.
The game is due for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 5 March 2010.
