Valve Apologises To PS3 Owners

The Orange BoxValve’s Gabe Newell has apologised to PS3 owners for the noticeably inferior PS3 version of The Orange Box.

In an interview with GTTV, Newell admitted that PS3 owners are right to criticise the company over the PS3 versions of the game which suffered from numerous glitches and performance issues.

"If you look at the customers that I feel we've done the worst job at taking care of is the people who bought our product on the PS3 - Orange Box on PS3,” he told GTTV (via CVG).

“Those are the people who I have trouble saying anything to other than 'Yeah, I'm sorry. You have legitimate beef with us.'"

He went on to explain the reasoning behind the inferior PS3 release.

"That grew out of how that product was developed. We didn't have the in-house resources to deliver to them the same content that we've been delivering to PC and Xbox customers."

Newell also confirmed the company is not working on any PS3 projects “in any real way.”

What do you make of that, PS3 owners? Would you like to see more Valve products on the format, or has The Orange Box tainted the company for you? Let us know in the comments section below.
