MMA legend Randy Couture will appear in EA Sports' MMA it was revealed today.
EA announced the five-time MMA champion, with a record of 16-9, will co-headline the game along with the recently-announced Fedor Emelianenko.
“I have been a part of MMA for over 10 years and I am excited about the global visibility that a game like EA Sports MMA will bring to the sport,” said Couture.
“Like my fighting career, I look forward to taking on all comers in EA Sports MMA.”
EA's game faces stiff competition in the form of UFC 2009 Undisputed, which has proved a critical and commercial success or THQ. UFC president Dana White has fuelled the rivalry between the games by revealing EA previously turned down his idea to make a UFC game. White subsequently banned any UFC fighters from signing up for EA's game.
