Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited Gold

Turbin has announced that Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited has now gone gold.

The soon to be free to play D&D Online will be ready to launch for DDO VIPS (subscribers) on 1 September prior to the official North American launch on 9 September. This upgrade to the game raises the game's level cap, introduces a new player class and adds new content to the free to play MMO.

The game will now be supported by micro-transactions for features such as  adventure packs, items, and account services via the new DDO Store, or you can get access to everything if you keep with the subscription model.

DDO's Executive Producer added: "For the last several weeks, we have been rigorously testing all partsof the DDO service. We did everything possible to hit our originalAugust launch date, but unfortunately we found that some added softwaretuning and additional hardware was needed to hit our launch targets atour desired quality levels. Last night we hit a major milestone as wepassed our launch readiness test on all game and service components!"

The last day of the DDO Unlimited beta test is set for Monday 17 August before the new pricing model and game update is pushed into service.
