Army Of Two: The 40th Day Dated

Army of Two: The 40th DayEA has revealed the sequel to Army of Two will hit store shelves in January 2010.

Army of Two: The 40th Day will ship in the US on 12 January, while European gamers will be able to buy it from 8 January.

The sequel reunites the (slightly homo-erotic) pairing of Salem and Rios as they attempt to survive a a chaotic terrorist attack in Shanghai.

EA also revealed a pre-order deal which gives those who pre-order the game exclusive access to the new Extraction multiplayer mode at launch. Other players  will be able to play the mode a month after launch.

The luke-warm response to the first game was apparently a “humbling” experience for the development team, who promise a more engaging experience this time around. We caught glimpse of the game at this year’s E3 event, find out what we thought in the preview
