Further Details on Dragon Age Collector's Edition/Pre-Order

General ScreenshotEA has released further details on the pre-order bonuses and the collector's edition of Dragon Age: Origins.

The title, recently delayed until November, will get a collector's edition priced at $74.99 USD on console and $64.99 USD on PC.

Two pieces of DLC will be available for the game, presumably on launch: the Stone Prisoner quest, which lets players enlist the aid of Shale, a stone golem who can become a party member, and focuses on his back-story and quests; and the Blood Dragon Armour, which is a themed set of armour that will give additional protection and, amazingly, players will be able to use it in both Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2.

Both will come free with new copies of Dragon Age: Origins, presumably with download codes, so those who prefer to purchase second-hand won't be able to get their hands on them without paying for the DLC. The Stone Prisoner will be available for $15 USD if you go this route, while there are no details on the Blood Dragon Armour.

As an added bonus, anyone who pre-orders the game will get the Memory Band, an equippable item that grants +1% to all experience gained and adds a bonus point that can be used on your character's skill set. Not a big boost, but over time we suspect it might be rather valuable. Additionally, certain retailers will apparently be offering an additional bonus item for awhile, but no details on this are given.

Finally, the collector's edition. This steel case will contain a cloth map of the Dragon Age world, a making-of documentary DVD, a digital version of the soundtrack, game trailers, wallpapers, strategy tips, a concept art video, and three exclusive downloadable items which are presumably not the ones mentioned above.

Whew. You can check out our preview of Dragon Age: Origins here.
