An official preview of the next addition to Demigod's pantheon has hit the internet.
The preview, on Brad "Frogboy" Wardell's blog, shows off some concept art and details the powers of the Demon Assassin, the next playable character to join the Demigod pantheon.
The Demon Assassin will be fighting for the Forces of Darkness, and is designed as a counter to the Forces of Light's very own cheating sniping sod Regulus. With both a sword and a knife, the Demon Assassin is focused on mobility and has some powers that are likely to heavily change the way a match of Demigod goes.
The Demon Assassin is capable of teleporting, which is a pretty big thing in a game as based around positioning as Demigod is. His abilities are detailed below:
Activated Abilities
- Warp Strike (Key 1) - Warps behind the targeted unit and performs an instant attack. Damage dealt increases as the skill increases.
- Spine Attack (Key 2) - Launches a barb from his tail, attacking an enemy at range. Damage dealt increases as the skill increases.
- Warp Area - Ultimate (Key 3) - For a few seconds, Demon Assassin warps to nearby enemies and attacks them. While performing this ability, he is invincible. Number of warps increases as the skill increases.
- Shadow Swap (Key 4) - Demon Assassin swaps places with an enemy Demigod. Distance increases as the skill increases.
Passive Abilities
- Deadly Warp - Warp Strike has a high chance to critically strike.
- Forceful Blows - Smaller enemies near targets of Warp Area are thrown into the air.
- Elusiveness - Demon Assassin's chance to dodge normal attacks increases.
- Demon's Speed - Demon Assassin's movement speed increases.
In short, then, the Demon Assassin is a fast Demigod that can teleport to enemies, swap places with enemies, and even inflict some pain at range. Take that, Regulus.
There's still an unannounced Demigod coming for the Forces of Light. We'll fill you in when news appears, but for now, check out our review to read why you really have to play Demigod.
